Submission Guidelines

Interdisciplinary Journal of Applied and Basic Subjects (IJABS) is pioneer of quality and authentic  publication. It truly considers the copyright guidelines, follows COPE guidelines and protects author’s rights.

All the submitted articles are assessed by our renowned Editorial board members and Reviewer. IJABS set quality standards for the acceptance of appropriate and most effective articles from various fields. We expects authors will check their compositions for its written originality. Any falsification or deviation will not be accepted and strict action can be taken against the author.  

The original manuscripts should be submitted through Submit Manuscript form. After approval from Editor, the manuscript is forwarded to reviewers on the basis area of research. Once the review is done, necessary changes and comments are provided to the author. Once the author satisfies the comments and complies with the suggested changes, final decision on the manuscript will be given via mail to corresponding author. When the article is accepted,  authors are informed about the applicable article processing charges. Authors are requested to pay article processing fees only after acceptance of their article for publication. 

The word limit for Research article must be 4000, for Review and book review article must be 6000, for Short review must be 2500, short communication must be 1500, letter and editorial must be 1000, case report 3000 and should not exceed in any case. 

Manuscripts should be typewritten in double spaced, A4 sized sheets with a 1 inch margin on all sides. The manuscript shall be prepared in Times New Roman font using a font size of 12. Manuscript Title shall be in a font size 14. All section titles shall be in font size 12 and bold face. Subtitles in each section shall be in font size 12, italics face lower case followed by a colon.

The pages shall be numbered consecutively with numbers. Beginning with title page, ending with the last page of figure legends. All animal experimental procedures followed must be approved by appropriate ethical committee.

Title Page must be filled and attached while submitting the article. Title page should contain title of article, names and addresses of the authors, e-mail and phone numbers and affiliations of all the authors.

Manuscript
  1. Research articlesResearch articles are considered for publication provided that the results of the significant portion of the research work is not published anywhere in any form (electronic or print). Strictly restrict the word limit to 4000 only.
    • Abstract
      Abstract should start on a new page after the title page and should describe the essential aspects of the investigation. No references should be cited in the abstract.
    • Keywords
      Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 6 keywords, using American spelling and avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.
    • Introduction
      Introduction should define the background, significance and must have relativity with the study by considering the relevant literature. The citation should be done numerically with box brackets in the subject matter.
    • Materials and methods
      The research design, subjects, materials used, and statistical methods should be included properly. This part should be as clear as possible to enable other scientists to repeat the research presented.
    • Results and Discussion
      All results based on methods must be included. Discussion on the results of the investigation must be presented.
    • Conclusion
      Major findings of the study and their usefulness shall be summarized in this section.
    • Acknowledgements
      If necessary, a brief acknowledgements section may be included.
    • Conflict of interest
      Any conflict of interest statement(s), disclosure(s), and/or financial support information, including donations.
    • References
      References should appear on a separate page. The references should be cited at the end of the manuscript in the order of their appearance in the text. For citation of references with more than six authors, only the first author’s name followed by et al. should be used.IJACBS follows APA style of referencingReferences of journal articles, books, chapters in book etc. should be cited as follows:Journal articles:
      Last name of authors followed by first name initials year of publication in brackets, title of research, comma, journal name in italics; volume and issue in bold: page numbers.
      Example:
      Gruber PA, Rubinstein A, Bass VHK, Robinson JR (1987), Gastric emptying of non-digestible solids in the fasted dog, J. Pharm. Sci; 76 : 117-122Book reference:

      When citing a website, the basic structure is as follows:
      Author surname, initial(s). (Year, month day). Title. Retrieved from URL.
      Example:
      Ries J. (2020, May 21). CDC Gives New Recommendations to Safely Reopen Amid COVID-19. Retrieved from https://www.healthline.com/health-news/newcdc-guidelines-say-covid-19-unlikely-to-spread-via-contaminated-surfaces
    • Tables
      Each table should be given on a separate page. Each table should have a short, descriptive title and numbered in the order cited in the text. Only MS word table format should be used for preparing tables.
    • Figures
      Graphs and bar graphs should preferably be prepared using Microsoft excel and submitted as Excel graph pasted on word. Photos or drawings must have a good contrast of dark and light. Legends of figures should be brief, but complete and selfexplanatory.
    • Abbreviations
      Define abbreviations that are not standard in this field in a footnote to be placed on the first page of the article. Such abbreviations that are unavoidable in the abstract must be defined at their first mention there, as well as in the footnote. Ensure consistency of abbreviations throughout the article.
  2. Review, short review and book review articlesReview articles should include the extensive data collections restricted up to the mentioned word limit. Review articles aims at pooling information from different researches. It helps to understand the particular niche of topic in detail and discuss its limitations, development and opportunities for future researches. It should contain up-to-date information, comprehensively relevant literature. Authors should include Title Page, abstract, keyword, body, followed by conclusion for the review articles. The references should written as mentioned above. 
  3. Short CommunicationThe journal publishes exciting findings, preliminary data or studies that are important for the researchers community for its speedy communication. These have the same format requirements as full papers but are restricted to only 1500 words. Short Communications should have Title Page, Abstract, keywords and subtitles such as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. Short Communications preferably should have only 3-4 illustrations
