The article solely belongs to the Author and it is their duty to fulfill all the requirements entreated by IJABS. Article publication is totally an authentic process and must be dealt with all seriousness and rightfully. The author must go through the Submission guidelines, FAQ, and journal’s policy before submitting the article. Provided below are Author’s guidelines and responsibility for better workflow. The submitted research articles are assessed by our renowned Reviewer and Editorial board members. The author can check the status of their article by visiting our Manuscript status page anytime. Our journal sets quality standards for the acceptance of appropriate and effective research articles. It expects authors that will check their compositions for written falsification tests and determine they are submitting just extraordinary content for publication.

Detailed guidelines:

Original work

  • Authors must ensure that the piece of knowledge submitted for publication is an original work.
  • The research work can be inspired by the previously published articles but should not contain any duplication from the inspired article.
  • The article must focus on the objective of the study, no misleading or falsification should be done.
  • Any content used from previously published work for result representation must be cited properly in the study.
  • The false data or content is condemned and make be subjected to direct rejection.
  • The work must have not been published anywhere earlier and even is not considered for publication anywhere else.

Authorship

The article is generally prepared by an author or a team of authors. Before submitting the article kindly keep up some important points.

  • Authors must carefully consider the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscripts.
  • Anyone author out of the team must be designated as the corresponding author. The author must share the E-mail address, institutional address, and contact details.
  • While submitting the article, the author must write the details of the correspondent author as the first author or the communicating author as the first author.
  • The Author must mention the names of all genuine authors and co-authors of the article.
  • The authorship must be limited to the significant contributors of the work.
  • All the authors must have materially participated in the study and/or article preparation.
  • All the conversations and changes must be done only by the corresponding author.
  • Any addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names in the authorship list should be made only before the manuscript’s publication.
  • The corresponding author needs to email the editorial board about any change before the article’s publication.
  • In the case of the addition or removal of authors, this includes confirmation from the author being added or removed.

Key points

  • While writing the articles, appropriate citations, references, and publications should be done. Thoroughly go through the journal’s Submission Guidelines before submitting your article.
  • The discussion underlying the study should accurately match the title of the paper.
  • Inclusive language should be used as it conveys respect to all people, is sensitive to differences, and promotes equal opportunities.
  • Content should not be biased toward any beliefs/commitments, community, race, people, and system.
  • Authors should ensure that writing should be free from stereotypes, slang, reference to the dominant culture, and/or cultural assumptions. Rather use plural nouns (“clinicians, patients/clients”) as default/wherever possible to avoid using “he, she,” or “he/she.”
  • Use alternative words to avoid offensive or exclusionary terms for more appropriate and (self-) explanatory words.
  • The acknowledgment must mention the list of contributors.
  • The institutes and agencies supporting the study or any individual who participated in the research project must be acknowledged.
  • The article must mention all the sources used during the course of the study.
  • Information received during the training tenure, confidential services, or by third-party discussion must be used with permission.
  • It is advisable to use data from somebody else’s research only after getting written permission from the source.
  • All authors must disclose the financial or other substantive conflicts of interest in their manuscript.
  • The author is requested to identify who provided financial support for the conduct of the overall study. The details of the Funding agency or number should be clearly mentioned in your study. 

Responsibility

  • The articles submitted by the author must showcase novelty in the thoughts and content of the work presented.
  • The article should be properly written with correct grammar and spelling checks must be done.
  • No plagiarized content is allowed, as IJABS follows strict plagiarism rules. If found, the article will be directly subjected to rejection.
  • If any falsification is found in the submitted article, it will be subjected to rejection and even will be blacklisted.
  • Every author must fulfill the policy requirements to avoid malpractices and breaches of ethical standards of publication.
  • Authors should accept and correct the mistakes suggested by the panel of reviewers.
  • Re-submission of the revised article must be done via email only and at the precise provided time.
  • Any corrections or errors that have been identified by the author after article publication must be addressed to the editor within 7 days of publication. Any correction acknowledged after that will be subjected to a fine.
  • IJABS strictly prohibits any deceptive, unethical practice or knowingly infringing on the standards.

Ethical Guidelines

  • The author must mention the use of any hazardous/toxic chemicals, procedures, or equipment used in the study.
  • The author must mention the use of animal or human subjects during the project.
  • The authors should include a statement that confirms that the study was approved (or granted exemption) by the appropriate institutional and/or national research ethics committee.
  • The author must submit the appropriate committee(s) approval letter for use of animal or human subjects.
  • If a study has not been granted ethics committee approval prior to commencing, the manuscript will be subjected to rejection.
  • The author must submit the ethical committee approval letter as evidence at the time of submission.
  • All the procedures during the work must follow institutional guidelines and laws. The author must provide a statement regarding the same.
  • Authors should check with their institutions to make sure they are complying with the specific requirements of their country.
  • Authors should be aware to secure informed consent from the individual (or parent or guardian if the participant is minor or incapable)
  • When working on humans, authors should include a statement of consent obtained for experimentation with human subjects.
  • For retrospective studies, ethics approval may be required depending on the law and the national ethical guidelines of a country.
  • For clinical trials (phase II to IV trials), the author should suitable register with publicly available repositories.
  • The trial registration number (TRN) and date of registration must be mentioned properly in the study.

General Information

  • The article must be properly categorized at the time of submission.
  • Depending upon the type of article and content the editorial board can change the category of the article.
  • Publication of color illustrations is free of charge.
  • The pre-print is shared with authors before publishing online.
  • The purpose of the pre-print is to check for errors and the accuracy of the text, tables, and figures. Any correction encountered must be written clearly in the correction format provided with the pre-print.
  • No changes in content, e.g., new results, corrected values, title, and authorship, will be entertained without proper reason.
  • The authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript needs to be the English language for sufficient quality to be understood.
  • The production team may rectify the written text if the author fails to use accurate words, or can re-arrange the content according to the journal’s format.
  • The Journal is an Open-access journal thus minimum Article processing charge (APC) is applicable to the submitted articles.

  • Open Choice articles do not require the transfer of copyright as the copyright remains with the author. In opting for open access, the author(s) agree to publish the article under the Creative Commons Attribution License.
