Recruitment for different Faculty posts at IIT Patna
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) (IITP/FACREC/2021/R-SD0001), an Institute of National Importance, has invited applications from eligible candidates for Faculty Posts across all its departments. These faculty posts are available at the following levels: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. Indian Nationals (Foreign Nationals may also apply, for appointment to tenure/contractual position as per MHRD, GoI rules.

Eligibility:
Assistant Professor
- Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least three (03) years of post-Ph.D.
- Experience in teaching/research/industry for the post of Assistant Professor(Grade I) as on the closing date of the advertisement.
Associate Professor
- Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of six (06) years in teaching/research/industry of which at least three (03) years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (Grade I)/ Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer or equivalent as on the closing date of the advertisement.
- The candidate should have preferably produced one Ph.D. student (degree awarded or thesis submitted) as on the closing date of the advertisement.
- The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of M.Tech/MSc. and Ph.D. students, publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities.
Professor
- One should have a Ph.D. degree with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of ten (10) years in teaching/research/industry of which at least four (04) years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent as on the closing date of the advertisement.
- The candidate must have produced at least two (02) Ph.D. students (degree awarded) as on the closing date of the advertisement.
- The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of Ph.D. students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities.
