Bharath Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) started with Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust as the first self-financing Engineering College in Tamil Nadu in 1984, the brainchild of our Founder & Chairman, Dr. S. Jagathrakshakan, has been rendering its noble service since 1995 catering to the sustained growth of the educationally, industrially and economically backward rural areas. The Bharath Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) and other institutions (below) was then brought under the ambit of Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER). The college started with 120 students in the year 1984 with three UG Programmes has recorded a stupendous growth of expanding to the strength of 9300 students with 45 UG Programmes and 25 Post Graduate Programmes.
The Department of Science and Technology (DST-SHIRI), Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, Selaiyur, Chennai, Tamil nadu announced for the post of Junior Research Fellow. The project topic is “Revival of heritage practice in eco-friendly dyeing of cotton, and leather using rainbow color natural dyes from plant source” which is scheduled for 36 months.
