The Division of Human Resources (DHR), New York would like to engage an intern to support the Recruitment Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) function. The Recruitment Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) function is responsible for reviewing UNICEF recruitments on a post-facto basis to provide information and insights on organization-wide recruitment trends,  highlight systemic and specific issues with regards to compliance with the Staff Selection Policy, identify best practices to strengthen global recruitment efforts and identify recruitment capacity needs and support efforts towards strengthening the capacity building. Under the guidance of the HR Manager, the intern will contribute to shaping the recruitment monitoring framework in alignment with the new Staff Selection Policy that is expected to be launched in late September 2021. Support creation of an evidence base of quantitative and qualitative data on an ongoing basis. This includes review and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data. Contribute to review and analysis of recruitment documentation and drafting of reports. Support preparation of PowerPoint presentations, including data visualization. Support the overall knowledge management of the function. This full-time internship is for 3 months starting from 24 September to 24 December.  The intern will receive a stipend of $1,700 per month. Check the Official notification before applying.

Eligibility:
  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. degree program in the area of human resources, business, statistics, social sciences, or related field.  Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Some knowledge of human resources practices and principles.
  • A strong background in data and analytics. Experience working with databases, database queries/analysis. Experience with pivot tables is data visualization is required.
  • Have a strong ability to articulate clear and concise ideas and concepts in written and oral form and tailor content to the audience
  • Have good attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, and advanced knowledge in Excel.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
  • No immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and
  • No other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to
Salary:
$1,700 per month
