The Chair of Phytopathology at the Technical University of Munich, School of Life Sciences hires a Doctoral student or Postdoc in the field of Molecular Phytopathology/Cell Biology
The candidate is going to support a team working on the cell biology of the barley powdery mildew fungus interaction. We focus on cellular defense mechanisms and susceptibility factors and improve technological standards in analysing cell-autonomous defense. This may include advanced live cell imaging, genome engineering, protein-protein interaction studies, genomics and other technologies.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who is able conduct research independently; works well in a team and has a strong interest in basic and applied molecular plant sciences. Excellent English skills, both written and spoken, are essential. German language skills are of advantage.
We offer an international and scientifically stimulating surrounding with focus on basic molecular plant sciences. Furthermore, we aim to develop the scientific basis for understanding and improvement of crop plants for the future.
